WoodWell rescues neglected woodlands and green spaces and turns them into thriving community assets for people, for wildlife and for generations to come.
Our Mission
Founded in 2025 and rooted in the Vale of Glamorgan, WoodWell acquires, protects and revitalises green spaces, woodlands and natural areas that are neglected, underused or threatened by development and fly-tipping.
Through active management and community engagement, we restore these spaces to ecological health, creating habitats for rare and endangered plants, animals and insects, and opening them up for everyone to enjoy.
What We Do
Environmental protection, community benefit and resource efficiency: each strand of our work reinforces the others.
We identify and acquire green spaces that are neglected or threatened, restoring them to ecological health and creating habitats for endangered and rare species.
Nature walks, dog walking, forest schools, allotments and outdoor education. We remove barriers so everyone can experience the health benefits of nature.
Partnering with schools, colleges and universities, our spaces become living classrooms where young people learn practical conservation skills.
Our reuse facilities repurpose textiles, wood and electronics bound for landfill into useful products, funding our conservation work as we go.
